This semester went by really fast but I learned a lot about myself and chemistry. I got into this semester pretty late missing my first section so I was steps behind from everyone else. But I just told myself to push trough it and get as most stuff done to improve and get into all this chemistry faster so I could be with everyone else. I wasn't really sure how to do anything at first I kind of had to just wing it and figure out what I liked. I learned that I more into doing things hands on like labs and trying out different ways on figuring something out and watch different outcomes to reactions. Class labs were really interesting because I love working with people and watching everyone work together and try to put all the pieces to the lab so we can have a good finishing piece, it felt like you always wanted to make the best out of something because that's the only way you're getting something fun at the end. Creating different experiments like bismuth were really fun and interesting because the slow process you go through and the steps you take take a lot of time and that something you need in chemistry and just getting that final piece at the end of the bismuth and looking at the shine and colors it gives is so cool and it really makes you wonder and want to keep trying new things on your own.
What motivated me in chemistry was probably wanting to know more and keep learning about something and creating something from scratch to something people want to know more about. It was really a good time and plus everyone made it better being comfortable. working with people that had different views on things gave a push to me because that meant I had to show my views to create something way better and contribute to a group activity and create something that we didn't think was going to happen and have a better outcome and be proud of our work. I think once you are proud of something you achieved what you wanted.
My take away from this class and part of semester would probably be learning to work with others and taking my time on things so I could be proud of my work. I would always rush my work and once I got to chemistry You cant really do that because everything takes time even with work sheets you take your time to understand the concept and really get the hang of everything. And I really noticed that in the labs because you want and wait to get the best results from everything. Since its all on you you really wait and see for a outcome and you focus on your own work and watch it grow. You pay more attention on what you are doing and try your best on everything because you want everything to work and get the best out of it. You want a "wow" reaction from people and that involves taking your time and making sure your happy with what you get.
